Role: Building Automation Systems (BAS) Programmer

Location: New York (10017)

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with Niagara, Tridium, and/or Distech
  • 5+ years of experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative is preferred
  • Familiarity with building controls hardware and network architecture and mechanical HVAC equipment is required.
  • Commitment to our “open door” policy and regular contact with all field employees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.

Job Description

One of our largest Energy clients is seeking a BAS Programmer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for breaking down the scope of work into manageable segments and coordinating with the Project Manager for scheduling. They will follow the sequence of operations as required by project documents according to company standards. The candidate will develop and create system graphics, integrate third-party equipment through BACnet and/or Modbus protocol, and troubleshoot and correct BMS integration issues alongside Field Technicians. They will be utilizing Niagara for integrating various building systems. Additionally, they will mentor Junior Programmers and act as the Programming Team Lead on projects as required or necessary. The candidate will support a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with the enterprise vision, mission, and objectives. They will uphold quality and safety standards, specifications, and policies, collaborating with the team to drive efficiencies. The candidate will foster a culture based on open and honest dialogue and involvement with all team members, demonstrating the value of their input and engagement in improving performance. They will also support a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety, as well as other aspects of the business.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Compensation: $100,000 - $131,000
