Construction Assistant / Project Coordinator – Daytona Beach FL

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and eager to work in the field? This construction assistant role is performed on active project sites in areas such as Daytona, Titusville, and Fort Pierce—and often at elevation. Daily work may involve ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and swing stages, so comfort working at heights is essential. We’re partnering with a well-established residential construction firm to hire a Construction Assistant for their active structural restoration projects. This position is based out of the Daytona Beach, FL office with most of the work being performed out in the field (approximately 90% field / 10% office).

In this role, you’ll support the construction oversight team by collecting project data, taking field measurements and photos, and maintaining organized documentation throughout the construction phase. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and project management staff, ensuring data accuracy and consistent communication across multiple ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily job site visits across multiple projects.
• Collect field data, photos, and measurements to support engineering and construction oversight.
• Maintain accurate documentation across numerous projects using shared digital platforms.
• Communicate regularly with project engineers, inspectors, and contractor personnel.
• Organize and update reports, spreadsheets, and visual documentation for up to 30-40 projects at a time.
• Safely access elevated areas using contractor-provided equipment (ladders, scaffolding, lifts, swing stages) .
• Use employer-provided safety gear at all times.
• Drone operation for select project photo documentation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, project management, or related field fieldwork.
• Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Dropbox, SharePoint, OneDrive, or similar tools.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at heights in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable using safety equipment, such as lanyards, harnesses, hardhats, boots, gloves, eye protection.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (vehicle allowance and fuel reimbursement provided).

Preferred

• Previous field leadership or project management experience.
• Familiarity with inspection or restoration projects.
• Military background a plus.
• Experience using drones for aerial documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000 (depending on experience)
