A cannabis manufacturer is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Copywriter . The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the cannabis industry and consumer base, with experience crafting compelling copy across digital, retail, and packaging channels. This role will support multiple departments by developing clear, engaging content that aligns with brand voice and resonates with our D2C, dispensary, and smoke shop audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop copy for a variety of channels including email, SMS, digital ads, web content, product messaging, and packaging
• Edit and refine blog content to ensure consistency in voice and tone
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Marketing, Digital, Retail, and Creative to ensure messaging is aligned across all platforms
• Produce initial copy drafts and partner with internal stakeholders to refine and finalize content
• Contribute to brand documentation and support product storytelling initiatives

Qualifications:

• Proven experience writing for cannabis brands or a strong understanding of cannabis culture and audiences
• Demonstrated ability to write across formats, including digital communications, retail packaging, and web copy
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
