Total Wrecking & Environmental, LLC is a National Demolition and Remediation Contractor headquartered in Tonawanda, NY (Buffalo area) performing large scale projects nationwide. Total Wrecking performs a wide range of demolition and environmental remediation projects with a heavy focus on power plants, large industrial projects, and specialty demolition such as sports facilities, taller structures, implosions, and the more complex projects requiring the best of the best for their demolition and/or environmental remediation needs. Location: The Project Manager will work primarily out of our Corporate Office in Tonawanda, NY but will be required to periodically travel to visit project sites.

Job Description:  

The Project Manager is a corporate level position reporting directly to the Managing Member. The Project Manager will oversee large-scale asbestos abatement and demolition projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project execution, subcontractor coordination, estimating support, and document management. This role requires travel and direct interaction with clients, field teams, engineers, and regulatory agencies.

Approximate schedule: M-F 8am-5pm Approximate hours: 45-50 hrs a week

Job Location: Mostly Tonawanda office plus travel 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all aspects of demolition and environmental projects from pre-construction to close-out
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Prepare and manage:

-Project submittals

-RFIs/RFCs

-Pay requisitions

-Change orders

-Project schedules

-SOVs and closeout documents

  • Coordinate subcontractors, material and equipment needs
  • Interface regularly with clients, inspectors, contractors, engineers, and agency reps
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts and manage insurance requirements
  • Track production and costs; report on progress and key metrics
  • Supervise on-site superintendents and monitor job site safety & performance
  • Maintain exceptional standards of workmanship and schedule adherence
  • Support estimating efforts on potential new projects
  • Ensure complete compliance with local, state, and federal safety/environmental regulations

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field, preferred - not required 
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in demolition, environmental, or construction fields
  • OSHA 30 certification (Hazard Communication preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and remote teams simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of hazardous materials and environmental compliance
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project)
  • Proficient in scheduling software; Primavera experience preferred
  • Familiarity with BlueBeam or willingness to learn
  • Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
  • Working knowledge of contracts, drawings, specifications, and job costing

Must have/Minimum Requirements: 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Demolition or Construction Management
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to travel as needed

Salary Description:

$85K - $120K, Based on experience
