Job Summary:

We have a client in the industrial machinery manufacturing industry seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Drafter/Designer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Inventor or SolidWorks and a strong background in machinery design within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create assembly, weldment, and component detail drawings based on master model layouts.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify dimensions and conversions.
• Manage budgeted hours and timelines to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Support various activities , including but not limited to:
• Loading BOMs and drawings into SAP for replacement parts orders.
• Investigating manufacturing issues related to project assignments, including verifying engineering rework.
• Ensuring all drawing changes are accurately implemented .

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering drafting and design .
• Proficiency in Inventor or SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience is a plus).
• Experience in machinery design within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal and welding practices .
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in an engineering-related field (e.g., Computer-Aided Design & Drafting, Architectural Design).
• Must be able to work onsite in Flower Mound, Texas (near Dallas).
