JOB – Electrical Engineer (Building Systems & Design)

LOCATION – St. Petersburg, FL

TERM – Direct Hire

SALARY – $75,000 - $140,000 per annum + Full Benefits Package

My client – a nationally recognized engineering and construction firm specializing in complex building systems – is seeking a number of skilled and detail-driven Electrical Engineers to join their growing design team in St. Petersburg, FL .

The successful candidate will lead and support electrical design efforts across multiple active projects, ensuring efficient, code-compliant, and cost-effective solutions from pre-construction through to closeout.

The Electrical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required)
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (required)
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial, residential, or mixed-use buildings
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, IBC, IECC, and life safety codes
• Proficient in Revit and familiar with modern BIM workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

The Electrical Engineer duties will involve:

• Acting as the technical lead for multiple electrical design projects throughout bidding, permitting, and construction phases
• Coordinating with clients, architects, consultants, and inspecting authorities to ensure compliance and project alignment
• Developing detailed models and drawings, and directing design team members throughout project delivery
• Performing design reviews, proposing value engineering options, and ensuring adherence to scope and budget
• Providing mentorship and design guidance to junior engineers and technical staff
• Continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and elevate quality within the electrical design process
