Job Description

Title : Office Clerk 5

Contract duration : 12 Months

Schedule : Onsite

Pay : $22 - $24.60

Summary:

The Office Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth daily operations. This role involves handling communications, maintaining records, managing office systems, and assisting with routine office tasks such as payroll support, inventory tracking, and mail distribution. Acting as a central point of information, the Office Clerk helps keep the office organized and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, employees, and external parties by answering questions, providing information, and addressing concerns.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, take accurate messages, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Prepare, copy, sort, and file documents related to office activities, business transactions, and records.
  • Enter, review, and proofread data such as reports, records, and correspondence for accuracy.
  • Maintain and update filing systems, inventory logs, mailing lists, and databases.
  • Support routine administrative functions, including sorting checks, assisting with payroll records, and distributing mail.

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities with excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective multitasking and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 10+ years of administrative and/or customer service experience.
