Location: New Jersey
Work Schedule: 5 days in office

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage: Oversee all aspects of geotechnical engineering services, from planning to execution.
  • Supervise and Prepare: Guide the preparation of detailed geotechnical reports, calculations, specifications, plans, and cost estimates.
  • Track and Ensure: Monitor tasks, budgets, and commitments to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and Train: Develop and nurture our talented geotechnical staff.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with other engineering departments and the business development team.
  • Communicate: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and internal staff.
  • Travel: Visit project sites, client offices, and other company locations, including overnight travel.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ, NY, PA, or IL (or ability to obtain one within 6 months).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with geotechnical software (gINT, ALLPILE, GEO-SLOPE, GRLWEAP, LPILE, PLAXIS, SHAFT, SETTLE3D) and Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel).
  • Standards: Familiarity with transportation agency standards and procedures (NJ, NY, PA, or IL preferred).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Safety: Ability to navigate construction sites safely.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel, including extended periods.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift 30 lbs and traverse difficult terrain.
