The Role: Manager of Biomedical Engineering – Be the Leader Your Team Deserves

We're looking for a hands-on, mission-minded Manager of Biomedical Engineering to lead our Midland-Odessa operations. • Get in the Fight: Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and installations across a wide range of clinical equipment.
  • Master the Mission: Prioritize service calls, optimize team workflows, and maintain a clear view of inventory, tools, and equipment readiness.
  • Develop Future HEROes: Coach and mentor technicians to uphold HERO’s high standards of quality and service.
  • Collaborate Like a Pro: Partner with hospital leadership and clinical teams to ensure seamless equipment performance.
  • Guard the Standards: Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, documentation protocols, and Environment of Care audits.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A natural leader with 5+ years of hands-on experience in biomedical equipment maintenance
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred but not required, we’ll help the right person grow!)
  • Proven expertise across a variety of diagnostic, monitoring, and treatment devices
  • A communicator who builds trust with technicians, clinicians, and administrators alike
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and documentation habits
  • Experienced in fast-paced healthcare environments and comfortable juggling priorities
  • Familiar with CMMS systems, MS Office, and regulatory compliance standards (TJC, NFPA, DNV)

Your Origin Story (Education & Certs):

  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering, or military equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • CBET certification (a big plus, but not required, we’ll support your journey)

Ready to Suit Up?

If you're looking to step into a role that challenges you, grows you, and gives you the chance to be a force for good in healthcare, you’ve found it.

Join HERO. Be the reason technology works, patients stay safe, and hospitals stay running.
