The Manager of Ocular Services supports the mission, goals and strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network Inc. (NDN) through clinical and administrative operational support. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, staffing and coordination of ocular processing, evaluation, eligibility, and eye bank laboratory functions. Ensures the operations of the Eye Bank are performed in accordance with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) Standards and NDN policies and procedures. Works collaboratively with the Eye Bank Medical Director and the Quality & Regulatory Affairs Department to ensure superior ocular tissue quality, appropriate documentation, and adherence to all regulations and standards.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: Two – four years related experience, demonstrated ability to mentor/train other technicians Eye Bank Experience Required
Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS office programs
Certificates & Licenses: CEBT required
Other Requirements: Knowledge of basic aseptic technique, universal precautions, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology required. Be available “on call” according to a rotating schedule.
