Connect has partnered with our client in Forest Park, GA looking for a Materials Planning Coordinator.

Schedule: 8am-4:30pm open for Overtime as needed

Compensation : 65k-75k

Location: Forest Park, GA

About the Role: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Demand Planning Associate to support our Planning Manager in driving forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and seamless supply chain operations. In this role, you'll play a vital part in building reports, managing purchase orders, and maintaining efficient communication across teams. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities will directly impact our operational success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the key liaison between the Sales and Production teams for demand planning and forecasting.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and provide timely updates.
  • Communicate deadlines and priorities across departments to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance product availability with cost efficiency.
  • Manage inventory at the beginning and end of each month for both raw materials and finished goods.
  • Prepare and submit accurate purchase orders based on forecast needs.
  • Analyze trends and actual shipments to adjust forecasts accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—sales, logistics, and production—to gather data for informed decisions.
  • Review reports and production schedules to ensure smooth material flow and efficient resource use.
  • Participate in meetings (both in-person and virtual) fully prepared with relevant data and insights.
  • Review costs with sales and account teams to support sound financial planning.
  • Continuously seek out ways to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

What You Bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in demand or material planning, or a related supply chain function.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • A passion for process improvement and collaborative problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Background in supply chain, inventory management, or demand planning.
