Duration: 15-18 months

Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed

Description:

Baer is seeking an experienced Oracle WACS Functional Consultant to lead the implementation of Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS). The ideal candidate will serve as a functional lead responsible for gathering business requirements, designing solutions, and driving hands-on configuration and deployment. This role demands a strong understanding of asset lifecycle processes, cross-functional collaboration, and client-facing delivery in Oracle Cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the functional implementation of Oracle WACS, from initial discovery to post-go-live support.
• Gather and analyze business requirements related to asset management, maintenance, procurement, and resource scheduling.
• Design and document functional solutions that align with business needs and Oracle Cloud best practices.
• Configure Oracle WACS modules, including asset acquisition, preventive/corrective maintenance, and work order management.
• Support full asset lifecycle processes, from acquisition to retirement/disposal.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define and implement integrations between WACS and related systems (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain).
• Lead functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain functional documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, and test cases.
• Assist with data migration, cleansing, and master data governance activities.
• Provide training and support to end-users during UAT and post-go-live phases.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure functional alignment.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience with Oracle Cloud, including hands-on expertise with Oracle WACS (Work and Asset Cloud Service).
• Strong background in functional consulting, including requirements gathering, process design, and system configuration.
• Proven experience in asset tracking, maintenance execution, procurement integration, and work order lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud integration tools and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a client-facing, high-travel environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
