Position Summary
Southeastern Credit Union is seeking a visionary, people-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and innovation, embodying the philosophy of "People Helping People." The CEO will be responsible for guiding strategic initiatives, ensuring financial stability, delivering exceptional member service, and fostering a strong organizational culture. This role involves overseeing all credit union operations, executing Board-approved policies, and maintaining a focus on long-term profitability, capital strength, and staff development. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of the credit union industry, strong financial acumen, and proven leadership skills. A collaborative, community-minded approach is essential, along with excellent communication, team-building, and decision-making abilities. Key qualities include strategic thinking, expertise in AI and cybersecurity, and a solid understanding of commercial lending. The CEO must be a fair, respectful leader who listens well, integrates easily into the community, and works closely with the management team to achieve shared success. A Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred, along with experience working with auditors and regulators and a minimum of 10 years of senior management experience with cross-functional leadership responsibilities.
