Job Description

OVERVIEW

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join a general contracting client supporting a large critical facility project in Montgomery, AL! This individual will support the implementation and management of the QC program alongside the project superintendent. They will oversee and coordinate activities across one or multiple projects and multiple QC Engineers. The base salary range for this role is $73,000 - $100,000 annually.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead weekly Quality Control (QC) meetings to ensure alignment and progress across project teams.
  • Maintain and regularly update the project’s Quality Process Log (QPL) to ensure accurate tracking of quality activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the owner’s quality assurance and management teams, addressing all quality-related concerns.
  • Review initial and follow-up inspection reports, manage punch list items, and oversee close-in inspection documentation.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of project contracts, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes; submit and review RFIs to ensure field implementation of approved changes.
  • Audit trade partner QC procedures and escalate recurring quality issues to senior management.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of Quality Control personnel to support continuous improvement and team growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience support quality control for large commercial construction projects
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel based templates), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Education: 4-year degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related. Equivalent years of related experience in addition to the 5-year minimum is also acceptable.
