Quality Engineer

📍 Near Chattanooga, TN

🏭 On-site | Manufacturing | Full-Time

Join a leading manufacturing team just outside Chattanooga, TN, where quality drives everything we do. As a Quality Engineer , you’ll play a critical role in strengthening product integrity, resolving production challenges, and shaping our continuous improvement efforts. What You Will Do:

  • Identify and troubleshoot quality and production issues to ensure consistent product performance.
  • Lead quality initiatives including FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and root cause/failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve internal quality concerns and customer complaints.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection standards for service parts.
  • Drive improvements in supplier quality performance through effective communication and corrective action.
  • Support internal, customer, and IATF audits—owning audit readiness and continuous compliance.
  • Track and analyze internal and external PPM metrics; identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Mentor and support Quality Technicians and coordinate closely with operations and engineering.
  • Engage in Kaizen and continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing scrap, improving first-pass yield, and driving key performance indicators.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality engineering or quality systems role.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection equipment, ERP systems, QMS, MES, or other manufacturing quality systems.
  • Background in automotive manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
