About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality System Specialist to join our team on-site and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to controlled substances. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational integrity and regulatory adherence across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of controlled substances, including receipt, storage, dispensing, record keeping, ARCOS reporting, and disposal .
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations .
• Conduct internal audits to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for controlled substances.
• Experience in quality systems, auditing, and training .
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing controlled substances in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or laboratory setting.
• Experience with cGMP and regulatory recordkeeping requirements

Education Requirements:

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Sciences, Quality Assurance).

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
