Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the firm’s senior electrical and managerial staff, this candidate will be responsible for leading a team of electrical staff engineers and overseeing the completion of various design and construction projects, which will involve the following:

  • Collaboration with other disciplines within the firm to support and advance electrical and controls aspects of water, wastewater and architectural improvement projects
  • Application of electrical design principles to guide the development of plans and specifications for capital improvement projects
  • Lead and support the technical development and design performed by a team of staff engineers
  • Guide staff engineers throughout the process of construction submittal reviews

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related discipline
  • 10-20 years of consulting engineering experience with power and control system design/construction
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience being the lead engineer on projects and managing/mentoring staff level engineers
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Water/Wastewater municipal experience in a consulting environment
  • Proficient in preparation of plans and specifications related to power distribution, lighting, control systems, etc.

Licenses:

  • Professional Engineering License in New York State (preferred)

Schedule:

Monday through Friday

8-hours/day

Salary Range: $130,000-$175,000 annually
