Our client has engaged us to lead the search for a skilled Part-Time Tax & Accounting Specialist (CPA required) for a direct hire role. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed CPA with deep experience in tax preparation, financial reporting, and general ledger oversight, someone who thrives working independently in a structured, detail-oriented environment.

This role offers long-term flexibility and meaningful ownership of key financial functions, without the constraints of a traditional corporate setting.

About the Role

In this position, you’ll manage core tax and accounting responsibilities for a privately held, financially sophisticated organization. You’ll collaborate with external advisors while maintaining accurate records, supporting tax compliance, and contributing to financial process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and business entities
• Maintain clean and accurate financial records, including general ledger activity
• Track and organize tax documentation and financial reporting schedules
• Coordinate with external CPAs, attorneys, and financial advisors
• Support cleanup of historical records and enhance documentation workflows
• Contribute to estate or trust-related reporting, when applicable

Qualifications

• Active CPA license (required)
• Master’s degree in accounting or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in tax and accounting for individuals and entities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Highly organized, discreet, and capable of working independently
